Blackpool FC striker Billy Clarke is slowly but surely making steps to overcome a serious cruciate ligament injury he sustained in pre-season.
The 22-year-old injured himself minutes into the Seasiders' first pre-season friendly at Tiverton Town in July, and was operated on just over three weeks ago.
The Irishman is already checking himself into rehabilitation after a successful operation, and will be hoping to make an appearance in the latter part of the season.
"The operation went well according to the surgeon and I'm just on a slow rehab at the moment," he told the Blackpool official site.
"I just need to get my leg working and bending and make sure that I don't lose much muscle in my thigh and that area. That's probably the plan for the next six-to-eight weeks."
"I need to get a full range of movement back in my knee and then I can hopefully start cycling," he revealed. "I'll probably be able to start light jogging a month after that."
