Stoke City winger Matthew Etherington was pleased to be back in action for their 1-1 draw at Burnley FC.
Etherington had been in fine form for Stoke before he suffered a knee injury.
He told The Sentinel: “I have been doing a lot of work anyway.
“Five days to a week after I was injured, I could do runs in a straight line. The only problem was twisting and turning, but I have kept my fitness up – the manager hasn’t let me off on that one. I have been running most days.
“I will probably get stronger with games, but I felt pretty good in this one.”
