Burnley FC defender Richard Eckersley – who recently signed permanently from Manchester United – is set to be sent away on-loan.

Eckersley set to join Coca-Cola Championship side Plymouth on a one-month loan.

A deal is expected to be concluded on Friday, the Clarets have confirmed.

This week a Football Association tribunal ordered Burnley to pay Manchester United £500,000 plus add-ons for the 20-year-old, who moved to Turf Moor on a four-year deal.

Eckersley, who rejected a new contract at Old Trafford, has yet to play a Barclays Premier League match for his new club.
