Burnley FC manager Brian Laws has revealed he is happy with the striking options now at his disposal following his forays in the January transfer window.

He is hoping new signing Frederic Nimani and the re-signed David Nugent will help his existing strikers fire the Clarets to Premier League safety

France under-21 international Nimani (right) has been restricted to just one substitute's appearance since his arrival from AS Monaco but Laws is expecting him to make an impact in the coming weeks.

"Freddy was thrown in at the deep end at Bolton just after he had arrived," Laws said.

"He has still got a bit of understanding to do and we are getting him up to full fitness, which will help him, but it won't be long before we see him in some sort of action.

"With no reserve games it's been difficult but from what I've seen of him before and since he's been with us I think he's capable of giving us something a little bit different up front.

"You want as many options as possible because sometimes you have to change your style to suit the opposition so you can't have enough strikers."

"Everybody has got a part to play to fulfil our ambition of staying in the Premier League."
