Former Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup didn’t quit ITV’s I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here but was ‘pulled’.
The controversy over Dallerup’s departure was stirred up by the star’s boyfriend, contradicting the official line that she left because of illness.
Dallerup’s fiance, the Hollyoaks star Kevin Sacre, caused a row with I’m A Celebrity bosses after revealing on his Twitter page that the 35 year old didn’t want to leave the Australian jungle despite suffering from hunger and exhaustion.
Kevin Sacre tweeted: “Can't say a lot, people, but I can say she was pulled, she didn't walk...”
A spokesman for I’m A Celebrity said that Camilla did quit the show explaining: “After consultation with medics Camilla decided to leave the camp.”
The dancer said on the show: “It's not eating. Heat, I can deal with. I've got the highest metabolism of anyone I know. I feel useless being here so tired. You can't help anyone.
“I just can’t sleep properly and I can’t think properly. My brain’s not working. It’s only three days in, so what’s going to happen after this?
“I’m scared because I don’t want to put my health in danger and I can’t think straight.”
Joe Bugner, former World Heavyweight Champion boxer, is Dallerup's replacement.
