Foul mouthed food God Gordon Ramsay, has tried to make amends for his very own kitchen nightmare by making a public apology to a TV presenter he called a lesbian pig.

Hosting a live cooking show in front of a crowd of 3000 in Australia, the Hell's Kitchen star stunned his audience with a rant about the popular celebrity from Down Under, Tracy Grimshaw.

His outburst even brought condemnation from the country's Prime Minister who described Ramsay as 'a new form of lowlife' forcing the chef to make a grovelling apology for his remarks.

The well respected Grimshaw hosts the Nine Network's 'A Current Affair' show and used her evening slot to take her own swipe at the Scot who she branded 'arrogant and a narcissist'.

A spokeswoman for Ramsay claims the chef realised his comments were inappropriate and has apologised to Tracy and her fans.

She said: "Tracy Grimshaw, had interviewed Gordon the previous evening and the comments he made were off the cuff and in response to heckling from the audience.

"With hindsight he realises that his comments were inappropriate and offensive and he has unreservedly apologised both to her and anybody else who may have been upset."

Speaking about the incident on her show Monday night, Grimshaw, 49, said: "We all know bullies thrive when nobody is there to take them on.”

Tracy, who is unmarried and has no children, went on to say she was not going to let some arrogant narcissist bully her, before attacking Ramsay over his treatment of wife Tana by making references to his alleged adulterous affair.
