Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been named the Best Acute Trust for which to work in the prestigious Healthcare 100 awards.
The Trust also took the top spot for the Best Large Employer and was ranked sixth in the league of top 100 healthcare providers - the highest for any Acute Trust.
The organisation was also named the second Top Employer for Managers and the third Top Employer for Performance Management and Staff Development.
The Trust had to go through a rigorous process to make it into the Healthcare 100. A lengthy questionnaire had to be submitted which included detailed information on the Trust's policies and procedures and learning and development opportunities for staff.
A random sample of around 1,500 staff were also sent a confidential survey which asked them about issues including what it is like to work at the Trust and what support and development opportunities were available.
Singling out the Trust, the judges said: "A strong focus on deep employee engagement across the organisation make this Trust stand out from the crowd. Staff know its vision and values, and how it expects them to behave - through The Blackpool Way."
Judges also praised the training and development opportunities available for staff, flexible working schemes, good communication and the forward thinking nature of the Trust.
Nick Grimshaw, the Trust's Director of HR and Organisational Development, said: "What makes this achievement so special is that the results are based on the views of our staff and it is great to know that staff are proud to work for the organisation and get great satisfaction out of their jobs.
"Being recognised in this way is a fantastic achievement and acknowledges the huge efforts that have taken place to ensure that staff feel valued and their achievements are rewarded and recognised.
"We are totally committed to creating an environment that makes work enjoyable and rewarding and we want staff to feel valued, supported, developed and motivated to the highest level possible."
