A café has opened for business in Leyland with help from Lancashire County Council's Rosebud Finance.
Lancashire Fayre, based at Centurion House on the Leyland Business Park, Centurion Way, Leyland, offers an extensive mouth-watering range of hot and cold homemade food from soup to a dish of the day to tempt the taste buds.
The business also offers an outside catering facility for corporate lunches or that special personal event.
Business proprietor, Gillian Ferguson, has used her knowledge of the food industry to cook – up this winning recipe.
Gillian said: "I have run a catering business in Chorley for many years now. The opportunity came to open up a café on the business park to cater largely for the needs of the local workforce.
"After thoroughly researching this I decided it was a business prospect that I simply could not turn down."
County Councillor Alan Whittaker, Chairman of Lancashire County Council, whose economic development department, Lancashire County Developments Limited (LCDL), run Rosebud Finance, recently visited the business.
Alan said: "The quality of Gillian's food is high and she sources local ingredients and suppliers to the mix whenever possible allowing neighbouring producers to benefit as a side order to this business.
"Add to the recipe that two jobs have already been created and Gillian's business certainly seems to be an excellent mealtime choice!"
